About PromapMe
PromapMe is a mobile tracking service for small and medium-sized enterprises aiming to track in real time their mobile employees via their mobile phone without any other specific equipment and regardless of the mobile carrier’s location services, handset features and GPS coverage.
The easily accessible PromapMe core features are:

Who can use it?
Any small and medium-sized company willing to track its mobile employees without having to put in place a dedicated, over-dimensioned (cost and capability wise) fleet management solution necessitating specific hardware bundled to the staff vehicle.
Any company already equipped – or ready to equip its mobile team – with a fleet of mobile phones (preferably with a GPS feature) with access to a data plan.
Where does it work?
PromapMe can be used anywhere in the world either through GPS (for GPS-equipped phones) or through Cell Id / Wifi positioning anywhere you get network coverage. It is important to note that the GPS positioning is inherently more accurate, but may not be accessible everywhere (no coverage inside buildings, “canyon effect” and weather conditions dependent...).
Is PromapMe dependent from the local carriers?
No. Even though the PromapMe location information is transiting through the operator’s network infrastructure, the PromapMe technology is based on GPS or Cell Id / WiFi positioning, thus totally independent from the telecom carriers’ services.
Business Model
What is the license model?
The PromapMe business model is based on a monthly fee per employee.
This fee is exclusive of the pre-required Data Plan that will be directly charged by your mobile carrier.
The PromapMe services have been conceived in such way that the traffic necessary to feed the location database is limited to the minimum.

What are the Service Providers’ costs incurred when the location is enabled?
These costs are totally depending on the Terms & Conditions of your Service Providers’ subscription. The price could be based on the data flow or could be a fixed fee regardless of the data flow.

How do I register my company?
To join the PromapMe users’ community, you will have to register through the web site providing your company information that will be used solely for the PromapMe services and will not be otherwise disclosed.
You will then enter your employees’ related information, defining their profile and job specificities and geolocation schedule.

How do I cancel my company subscription?
You can unsubscribe from the PromapMe services simply by clicking the “unsubscsribe” button or by notifying the PromapMe service Team at the following address: contact@umapme.com
The termination will be effective at the expiration of the last-paid service period.
What are the types of mobile phones adequate to be tracked?
Any phone or a PDA equipped with GPS allowing data communication (i.e. at minimum GPRS compatible or better, EDGE or 3G or 3G+) can be located through PromapMe and is therefore traceable.

How accurate is a PromapMe position?
Your position accuracy is based on several criteria. The principal criterion is your handset itself. If equipped with a GPS, the positioning accuracy will be the GPS accuracy (when available). Otherwise, the accuracy will be based on the cell Id /Wifi triangulation / positioning algorithm developed by the PromapMe team.
In addition, even if you can get the maximal accuracy provided with a GPS, you still have a free hand to limit your mapping accuracy through your profile settings.
How can I report inappropriate behavior and unwanted contacts?
Simply by sending an e-mail to the PromapMe web master
I can't track one of my employees. Why?
This is probably due to the way the tracking schedule for the employee category has been set up (tracking schedule...). You may want to double check her/his profile configuration. Otherwise her/his cell phone can be off or maybe out of order.
